Noak Hill Archers - Scorching hot in July
Well, where to start, as we see the hottest weather since 1976 Noak Hill Archers have been setting the competitions alight as we come to the end of the month. Longbow, Field and Target archers representing the club have been winning and finishing very well throughout the month. At the 2 day Essex tournament held on Saturday 21st July 2018 and Sunday 22nd July 2018 the adults and juniors all competed well over the weekend with the medallists over the two days as follows:: Satu

Spotlight on Sharon Lawrence Longbow Grand Master Bowman.
I am pleased to be able to write a blog spotlighting one of Noak Hills high achieving female archers - Sharon Lawrence. Sharon is a very good archer with her recurve bow but is now a Grand Master Bowman with her longbow. Sharon has been working hard since the start of the year to improve on her 2017 performance and this has been evident in her results so far this year a summary of which is detailed below: Imperial Rounds: Bill Tucker Memorial Shoot at Colchester and District

Noak Hill Juniors London Youth Games 2018
July 7th saw 2 of the Noak Hill Juniors go off to Crystal Palace arena to represent the borough of Havering at the London youth games. Both Samuel and Andrew were excited to have the opportunity to represent the borough and hopefully contribute to a second year of successful performance following on from their efforts in 2017 when havering won the team silver. Competition was tough but the young archers had practised hard to ensure they would give a good account of themselves
Field Archers lead the way at Oakwood
Sunday the 8th July saw a group of the Noak Hill Field Archers travel to Oakwood Bowman in Suffolk the travelling archers were: Craig, Kathy, Roy and Ken..... After a challenging day Kathy, Craig and Roy all won medals and for the benefit of other Archers Ken kindly did not want the other archers from the other clubs to feel left out so he decided to fall on his sword and continue the tradition of not winning a medal so others had a chance... (or so Ken tells me).. well done
