Spring into April 2018

As we move from a very successful indoor season for both junior and adult archers at Noak Hill and with good results through the winter indoor leagues we now move into the outdoor season.

April has been a month of competition entries for the archers of Noak Hill Archers with many of the club archers from Field, Target and Clout disciplines entering competitions around the home counties.

Both adults and juniors performed extremely well and have represented the club with the usual high standard and sporting professionalism we would expect.

In field Archery the team from Noak Hill Archers went to Cloth of Gold in Hemel Hempstead the team comprised of Cathy Jones, Craig Jones, Ken Hayes, Roy Easton, Richard Green, Karen Howard, Danny Brown and Brandon Brown (the only Junior) and all competed extremely well with the following medals being won:

For the adult archers gold medal wins for Cathy, and Richard, Silver medals for Karen and Bronze medals for Danny and Craig.

Brandon was the only junior field archer from the Noak Hill Archers and won a gold medal in his category, well done Brandon.

Ken and Roy have very respectable scores and were just pipped to the medal places, well done to all the adult field archers.

At the two clout shoots in April we had winning performances from Steve Spragg and Max at the Woodford clout where Steve (Recurve) and Max (Longbow) both won gold medals and the following weekend Steve Spragg won silver with his recurve at the county clout competition - Well done gents from all at the club.

Our Target archers were represented at the Havering youth games in April at the Abbey Bowman ground and we had 4 junior archers representing Noak Hill Archers, Kirsten and Lisette Reed, Samuel Gulvin and Andrew Lock.

After a good start the junior archers settled into their routines and kept up a very high standard all throughout the days competition with very good scores from all the archers which resulted in individual gold medals and Kirsten, Samuel and Andrew and Bronze medal for Lisette.

There was a team trophy which comprised of the three best scores form any clubs junior archers and with such high scores from Samuel, Kirsten and Andrew the Noak Hill junior team won the trophy for the club and this was the first time the juniors have won this trophy.
